Azure Updates: Project Flash; Spring Cloud Enterprise; AI apps

Microsoft aims to improve VM monitoring through its Project Flash initiative. CTO Mark Russinovich explained that Flash is the internal name for a set of VM availability monitoring capabilities. The project recently reached new milestones: the preview of availability data in Resource Graph and the private preview of a Monitor VM availability metric.

The goals of Project Flash include providing ways to analyze VM availability, automate root cause analysis, receive instantaneous notifications, and consume actionable data. Project Flash is set to expand as well with Event Grid instantaneous notifications and automated platform recovery policies coming soon. Additionally, Microsoft plans to improve fault detection, root cause analysis, boost AIOps integration, and centralize the user experience.
