Microsoft will launch a public preview of Dynamics 365 Intelligent Order Management, a new SaaS offering, in April.

Announced today at Microsoft Ignite 2021, the new application manages and orchestrates orders across channels and fulfilment options and allows for rule and policy configuration, automation, and optimization. Writing about the update, Microsoft corporate vice president for Dynamics 365 Muhamad Alam wrote:

This configurable, rule-based, artificial intelligence (AI)-powered software-as-a-service (SaaS) application is designed to help retailers and consumer goods companies realize the omnichannel “buy anywhere, fulfill anywhere” vision with easy onboarding and user experience.

The new service will help organizations support "order intake, fulfilment, and delivery partners with pre-built connectors- and easily extend into new business models.

Alam noted that Breville is an early adopter of Intelligent Order Management.
