Mars to expand Microsoft Azure investment to IoT, AI

Multinational manufacturer Mars is expanding its long-term relationship with Microsoft. Through the new agreement, Mars will use Azure to develop intelligent supply chain capabilities and other digital initiatives. Accenture will help to provide Mars with combined cloud and data capabilities, structured around Azure AI and IoT.

Mars previously adopted Azure Digital Twins to model and plan for its manufacturing facilities. In common with Microsoft's 100 percent renewable energy goals, Mars intends to cut greenhouse gas emissions across its supply chain 67 percent by 2050.
