MasterCard is teaming up with Microsoft to offer "simple and secure" e-commerce payments to Microsoft Dynamics AX customers.

Simplify Commerce is a cloud-based payments platform that offers retailers PCI compliance and integration with the retail processes of Microsoft Dynamics AX, including mobile commerce, e-commerce, and call center channels, officials of the companies stated.

According to the companies, the benefits to users are:

  • Easy Integration: Businesses can easily add payments to Dynamics AX so they can start accepting and managing online and call center payments within their existing operations.
  • Seamless Updates: Customers will automatically be updated on the latest developments in the payments industry-from security to regulatory protocols.
  • Expansive Global Footprint: Simplify Commerce connects businesses around the world through a single connection point so they can expand geographically without hitting payments hurdles.

Simplify Commerce will be available soon through Dynamics AX in 13 countries: U.S., Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Mexico, New Zealand, South Africa, The Netherlands and the UK. Additional markets will be added in the future, officials stated.

"Businesses need to be able to sell to their customers wherever they are without headache or hassle," said Deborah Barta, Simplify Commerce global lead, MasterCard, in a statement. "We want to make life easier for businesses as they grow, and we look forward to working with Microsoft to bring safe, simple and secure electronic payments to more businesses around the world."
