London Stock Exchange Group and Microsoft announced a new 10-year strategic partnership to build LSEG infrastructure on Azure. Microsoft is also poised to buy a four percent equity stake in LSEG through the Blackstone/Thomson Reuters Consortium.

LSEG chose Microsoft for its scalability goals around data and analytics, and to build on an existing integration of Refinitiv, the companies stated. LSEG’s Workflow data analytics workflow solution will become interoperative with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 to help market participants better interact with wide-ranging asset classes.
