Microsoft and Red Hat grow hybrid management capabilities

Microsoft and Red Hat announced that they are expanding hybrid environments to span on-prem and multi-cloud environments. Support will increase for Azure Arc for OpenShift and Red Hat Enterprise Linux, as Arc customers are offered a more consistent experience.

Microsoft and Red Hat first teamed up on hybrid offerings in May 2019 when Azure Red Hat OpenShift launched to help run container-based production workloads, managed by OpenShift, on Azure. Applications defined in Github repositories can be deployed with Azure Policy and Arc to OpenShift clusters, updating globally with pull requests. Unauthorized modifications can be quickly rolled back.
