Gaining Azure skills in 2020

Microsoft senior cloud advocate Thomas Maurer closed out 2019 by looking ahead to the new year and ways that users can gain Azure experience. One great way is to play around with an Azure free account, armed with 12 months of limited services. Alternatively, Maurer recommends the free Microsoft Learn platform or studying for and taking Azure certification exams. Current certifications include Administrator Associate, Developer Associate, Solutions Architect Expert, DevOps Engineer Expert, Security Engineer Associate and Fundamentals.

Maurer also shared links related to support plans, pricing, SLAs, privacy, compliance, security, Quickstart templates, reference architectures and more, together with advice for AWS users getting started on Azure or the Cloud Adoption Framework.
