Microsoft boosts Azure Virtual Machines with Project Tardigrade

Microsoft is applying parallels to nature to Azure Virtual Machines with Project Tardigrade, named after the microscopic "water bear" animals which survive in space or the deep ocean. Like tardigrades, the Azure team wants VMs to be able to survive extreme conditions, in this case keeping VMs up and running regardless of unanticipated host problems.
