Improved email attachment experience in D365 Customer Service

On her blogDian Taylor wrote about a set of features in Dynamics 365 Customer Service that might have arrived without anyone one noticing.

Taylor stated that she didn't have any idea about these features until she opened an email message in D365 Customer Service and saw some different options. She noted that as the features just showed up out of the blue, she is not sure from which release wave they originated.

Taylor added that even though these features are mentioned in the release notes as part of Dynamics 365 Customer Service, she noticed that they also show up in other apps where she is using emails in Dynamics 365.

In her blog post, Taylor discussed the new email attachment features.

Refresh Dynamics 365 CRM subgrid from embedded canvas app

An author writing on the Inogic blog noted that the ability to embed canvas apps in Dynamics 365 CRM brings the power of canvas apps to model-driven forms. The author wrote that recently the team received a requirement to create a record of the related entity, e.g., "suggestion," from the canvas app embedded in the appointment entity form.

The author explained that there is a subgrid of the suggestion entity added next to the canvas app on the appointment form.

After creating the suggestion entity record, we should see the newly added suggestion record in the subgrid, i.e., the subgrid should be refreshed.

In the blog post, the author described the steps you need to take to effectively refresh a subgrid within D365 CRM upon submission of data from an embedded canvas app, all within the same tab.
