Microsoft has released Fundraising and Engagement for Dynamics 365 Sales, a new solution aimed at addressing a broad range of needs for fundraisers, marketers, and development operations staff at nonprofits.

Fundraising and Engagement builds on two years' worth of nonprofit business applications work from Microsoft's Tech for Social Impact initiative, including their Common Data Model for Nonprofits, writes Erik Arnold, CTO for Microsoft Tech for Social Impact.

Features include:

  • payment processing
  • management of recurring gifts and memberships
  • major and annual giving
  • household and life event management
  • opportunity and designation management

Since the product is based on Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise and Azure, it can also call on additional D365, Power Platform, Azure, and Office 365 tools as needed for scenarios like financial management integration, BI and reporting, marketing segmentation, and collaboration.
