Microsoft will announce its Q2 2019 earnings on Wednesday after the close of US markets. Ahead of that, a few broad growth figures shared at a recent community gathering suggest the Dynamics 365 product line, a part of the company's "Productivity and Business Process" segment, will continue to see positive growth.

Microsoft employees speaking to Dynamics 365 community members at the 365 Saturday event in Glasgow on January 26 reportedly shared some broad performance metrics about the product line, which includes apps for ERP, CRM, HR, analytics, and augmented reality. According to an event attendee, Ed Grant, CFO at Solari, Microsoft shared the following:

  • $1 billion+ annual recurring revenues
  • 60% annual growth
  • 5,400 Microsoft partners selling the solutions
  • 40% growth in partners selling $1m+ deals

It should also be noted that figures provided at this event were not delivered by the Microsoft executive team who will report the official results on Wednesday.

But with those assumptions in mind, the performance, especially the annual growth rate of 60% shared over the weekend, would be roughly consistent with past earnings report figures. In FY2019 Q1, Microsoft reported Dynamics 365 revenue growth of 51%. In FY 2018 Q3, Dynamics revenue growth was 65%. In FY 2018 Q2 it was 67%.
