Morgan Stanley announced a new collaboration with Microsoft to create solutions for the highly regulated financial services industry. The announcement comes on the heels of financial tech developments at last week's Build 2021 event.

Together, the two companies plan to co-design and create app infrastructure centered around Microsoft Cloud for Financial Services, implement apps with cloud-native services, and transition workloads. The Morgan Stanley API will provide direct connectivity to the cloud. Additionally, the two companies aim to boost adoption of GitHub and using a SaaS-based development environment and DevOps toolchain developed by Morgan Stanley.
