RackWare, a provider of hybrid cloud mobility services, announced SWIFT for Azure, a solution intended to support migration of containerized workloads running on Azure.
SWIFT is a converged disaster recovery, migration, and backup offering for Kubernetes and OpenShift. SWIFT v1.2 is meant to improve flexibility and simplify mobility for customers, and reduce complex manual processes. The company also offers versions for IBM Container Cloud and Oracle OKE.
The Azure offering includes support for stateful container workloads to support workload migration or disaster recovery transformations to AKS. According to RackWare, SWIFT allows any source storage type to be transitioned to any AKS storage type, such as Azure File Share or Disk Storage. Additionally, it supports checkpoints, hybrid models, and application-neutral migration.
