Report: Multi-cloud and hybrid cloud nearly universal among enterprises

Flexera issued its 2021 State of the Cloud report, offering new data on public cloud growth the importance of multi-cloud and hybrid cloud among enterprise organizations.

The report offers a number of takeaways about goings-on in cloud today, based on the responses of 750 cloud decision makers. Enterprises are leading the way with their embrace of mutli-cloud. In fact, 92 percent of enterprises have multi-cloud strategies and 80 percent have hybrid cloud strategies.

On average, respondents had over two public and private clouds in-service, but around half silo workloads between clouds with others integrating workloads across clouds. Currently, only 42 percent of respondents said they use multi-cloud management tools.
