vFunction teams up with Microsoft for Java refactoring service

vFunction, a platform for modernizing legacy apps announced a new partnership with Microsoft Services Industry Solutions for a new Java Refactoring Service. Microsoft will use vFunction’s Cloud Native Modernization Platform to support the service, including testing and validation.

The goal of the partnership is to offer automation for hundreds of legacy app modernization projects previously limited by manual modernization processes. Together, the two companies hope to offer elasticity and reduced technical debt.

“Together with vFunction, we’re excited to launch this Java Refactoring Service to the market, allowing us to deliver a proven solution designed to modernize our customers’ most important legacy applications. This powerful solution automates and speeds the modernization process, allowing a host of legacy applications to move seamlessly to Microsoft Azure,” stated Darren Dillon, CTO Azure Cloud & AI at Microsoft.

vFunction is headquartered in Palo Alto, CA, with offices in Israel. They partner with a range of enterprise technology providers including Google Cloud, AWS, IBM, HPE, Oracle, HCL, and others.
