Streamlined Operations and Elevated Security for AER’s Enterprise Business Management System

Army Emergency Relief (AER) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to relieving undue financial stress on U.S. Army active and retired soldiers and their families

AER's legacy Enterprise Business Management System (EBMS) was responsible for managing functions associated with operating the Financial Assistance & Loan Management Program. The system was comprised of multiple software solutions, including NetForum and Microsoft Dynamics GP, that managed financial assistance, loan tracking, documenting donation documentation and collection, scholarship issuance, and accounting. Limited flexibility of the highly customized solution in NetForum and the sun-setting of Dynamics GP drove AER to seek a modern, all-encompassing system that is natively web-enabled, expandable, and scalable.

Learn how AER worked with Arctic IT to replace their legacy system with a streamlined solution built on Dynamics 365 and Azure to meet security standards for FedRAMP Level 4, DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST-800-53).
