Ansys teams up with Microsoft on chip development

Ansys announced that its customers will have access to third-generation AMD EPYC processors and AMD 3D V-Cache through Microsoft's Azure HBv3 VMs.

Ansys provides Ansys Cloud as a managed cloud service powered by Azure. The offering is intended to support computer-aided engineering scenarios with Azure VMs used for high-performance workloads. According to Ansys, the company saw up to 80 percent improvement in large-scale computational fluid dynamics by using Azure.
