Appfire, an enterprise collaboration software company, announced the acquisition of German company, 7pace. The acquisition adds 7pace Timetracker, an Azure DevOps app available on GitHub to its portfolio.

Through its acquisition, Appfire plans to expand into the Microsoft ecosystem and also plans to bring the 7pace offering into the Atlassian ecosystem. According to Appfire, time tracking is often seen as inefficient and requiring significant managerial surveillance. 7pace Timetracker includes AI and machine learning capabilities to capture data from a developer workflow. Through the acquisition, Appfire will also gain a presence in the German market and boost its data acquisition and aggregation capabilities.

“To drive success and ambitious transformation, product developers need to spend more time innovating. 7pace has developed an AI-driven experience that teams not only need, but want,” stated Randall Ward, Co-Founder and CEO of Appfire.
