Azure partners in the Microsoft channel launch new offerings energy efficiency, cloud adoption, finance, and optical character recognition.

C3 AI and Baker Hughes team up with Petronas to deliver AI capabilities using Azure

C3 AI and Baker Hughes announced a new partnership with Malaysian energy company, Petronas. Using Azure, the two companies will deploy the joint BHC3 reliability app to oversee maintenance for gas turbines and control valves.

Petronas controls Malaysian oil and gas resources and is trying to use AI to improve the productivity of these resources. Along with boosting productivity, Petronas aims to improve asset integrity and energy efficiency.

"This program continues the strong relationship between Baker Hughes and PETRONAS to drive productivity and efficiency for cleaner, safer energy. AI will play a critical role in digital transformation programs that bridge today’s demand for energy with tomorrow’s energy transition. We are thrilled to work with PETRONAS as it leads in digital transformation and deploys the full power of enterprise AI," stated Uwem Ukpong, executive vice president of regions, alliances & enterprise sales at Baker Hughes.

Finastra migrates banking customers to Azure

Finastra announced that it is migrating its Fusion Phoenix banking system to Azure. Sixty-two banks and credit unions migrated over the last year and going forward all Fusion Phoenix customers will be on Azure. The company's shift to the cloud started in February, 2020 with the initial migration of two banks taking part. Finastra's financial services customers can run core apps in Azure after the migration.
