Please Select a Company - But I already have!!

On her Dynamics Confessions Blogspot, Leslie Vail offered a brief "when things go wrong" blog post that solves an annoying issue.

According to Vail, this problem arises when you launch Dynamics GP. Everything is A-OK except that the dialog box that asks you to select a company won't disappear.

If you click the OK button, the dialog closes and all is well with the world. If you are experiencing this issue, you need to do a little file surgery in SQL.

Vail stated that the issue lies in the SY01402 table within the DYNAMICS database. Here's the problem: The system is trying to launch a "remembered" company that doesn't exist in your current installation. This could happen if you move your system to a different server and you don't bring all companies over as well.
