Saia Chooses Microsoft Dynamics CRM Software

Saia Inc., a less-than-truckload carrier, has selected Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 to improve its sales and marketing efforts.

The company selected Dynamics CRM because of its robust capabilities as well as its ease of integration with other Microsoft products, company officials said. Consulting firm Customer Effective, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, helped with the installation and implementation of Dynamics CRM, which will offer Saia's sales force better account management tools.

"Through the CRM software, we will be able to maintain a 360 degree view of every customer interaction we have," said Saia Vice President of Marketing and Customer Service Sally Buchholz, in a statement "We can easily and effectively manage all facets of every shipper account."

Saia sales representatives and national account executives access Dynamics CRM via tablet devices, so they can access customer account information any time anywhere. In addition, by consolidating and creating a central repository for shipper information, Dynamics CRM improves Saia's relationship with its customers and lets the company manage its sales pipeline better.

"Our sales force now has the ability, while meeting with a customer, to run any service report we offer, research the movement of a specific shipment, look at the performance of a particular lane, check on the status of a claim, and much more," said Saia Vice President of Marketing and Customer Service Sally Buchholz, in a statement.
