Nasuni, a Microsoft Gold partner and winner of Microsoft’s Global Azure ISV Partner of the Year award, premiered a new integration between its Nasuni Files Data Services environment and Microsoft Sentinel SIEM capabilities. The recognition comes as the company has pivoted from its traditional focus on object storage to providing integrated security at the edge as its customer witness continued growth at the edge.

MSCloudNews reached out to Nasuni to learn more about the company’s go-to market strategy and offerings.

Nasuni offers cloud native services that combine traditional network-based storage with object storage, Nick Burling, VP of Product, told us. Their approach allows their solution to support unstructured customer data more effectively than hardware-based storage providers, they say.

[We offer a] single platform for file data services, disaster recovery, backup, enabling services on top of that…[We’re not just about] cloud storage and collaboration, but really taking advantage of our architecture for data protection and disaster recovery and consolidating multiple toolsets across file data protection and remote collaboration. A lot of customers have traditional backup and Nasuni is able to collapse down to a single platform that delivers those capabilities.

With an architecture based on object storage, Nasuni supports Azure, Google Cloud, AWS, and private on-prem. Customers are able to snapshot versions of their file system as often as every minute. The company expanded last year with the acquisition of Storage Made Easy, adding capabilities around SharePoint and Dropbox, but still had a gap around remote and hybrid work.
