Wind River Appoints Microsoft Azure GM Avijit Sinha as Chief Product Officer

Software and services firm Wind River announced it has hired former Microsoft GM Avijit Sinha as chief product officer.

Sinha worked for over twenty years at Microsoft in a range of product development roles in the Office, Windows, and Azure groups, as well as Microsoft Research. He most recently served as general manager for Azure Mobility, with ta focus on automotive OEMs building connected and autonomous driving vehicles. For example, earlier in 2021 he welcomed a partnership with Argus Cyber Security, a Tel Aviv-based cybersecurity company, announced that it is partnering with Microsoft to use Azure IoT to help detect and prevent cyberattacks on connected vehicles.

Wind River makes software and related tools for intelligent systems across a range of industries.
